As a longtime Great Schooner Race veteran ( 15+ years) on board the beauteous Heritage, as well as a foodie- blogger, I enjoyed reading about the race from a visitor’s perspective. If I use a magnifier I can almost see myself in that photo of several of the ships anchored just prior to the race’s start. Our media guests on the Heritage this year were from a local TV station, and I am in Ohio, so I didn’t see what they produced. The food is always a highlight of the week; on Heritage one of our favorite afternoon snacks are the gooey cream-cheese chocolate treats known as Uglies.
